Caruso Eye Care uses the most current technology to fit specialized contact lens with a goal of enhancing your lifestyle.

Soft contact lenses:  Advancements in materials allows comfortable lenses to those patients who have been unsuccessful with contact lenses in the past.

Soft Toric Contact Lenses for Astigmatism:  Were you under the impression that contact lenses are not an option for you because you have astigmatism? Have you heard that contact lenses for astigmatism (toric contacts) did not come in disposable or colored lenses?  These statements are no longer true!  New developments in contact lens design allow many options.

Bifocal/Monovision Contact Lenses:  Are you tired of having to put on reading glasses to read a menu?  As we get older, the reading vision slowly degrades in a natural process known as presbyopia.   Reading glasses are used as a crutch for presbyopic eyes because the eye muscles become weaker and the crystal lens in the eye becomes less flexible.   Bifocal/Monovision contact lenses can allow patients the ability to read and see far away without glasses.  Reading a menu, driving, seeing price tags, text messaging, working on the computer are some of the everyday tasks made easier with the latest contact lenses.

Rigid Gas Permeable/SynergEyes hybrid contact lenses:  Rigid gas permeable (RGP) contact lenses, by name, are hard lenses that do not change their shape when the eye blinks.  The stability of the shape of hard lenses provides optimal vision.  However, new RGP wearers often report discomfort during the first few weeks of RGP use.  SynergEyes lenses, FDA approved in 2005, provide the comfort of soft contact lenses and the clarity of RGPs by combining a gas permeable center and a soft outer ring.  Learn more about SynergEyes!
